Just a little side feature to see who's playing what. At the end of the person's name in the guild screen you can see the class like W/Mo, or D/Me, or whatever they are playing. Might be useful for getting guild events organized if you know what everyone's got.

I'm thinking that it might also be cool to be able to see which chracters a person has in their account by highlighting their name or right clicking and selecting view characters. Useful for organizing :P

hmm don't think it's needed. 99% of the population have 3 or more lvl 20's, and if you need a specific char for something, you can just make one, and in 3 days he's ready for the job.

2nd idea might be useful though.

I don't know that 99% have three or more level 20s. For a long time I had only 2 level 20s because I wanted slots open for pvp. ANd that was when I was about 800 hours into the game. But at least you agree with the second idea :P

Another thought occured to me which is why I'm replying so fast, is that it should also tell you how many slots they have open, in case you need a pvp character.

That's mostly irrelevant.

Let's say I have a N/Me. What am I? MM, SS, anti-melee curses, blood, curses for 55? Something completely different?

Or Mo/W? Healer? Protector? Smiter? 55? RA ZB with stance? 605 with bonettis?

Classes are completely irrelevant. It's build and your set up that define your role. And the purpose of guild is that you get access to players, not characters. You can ask for a role, not just a class. Other than that, you're at the same level as PUGs.

Class does not a role make. Most important lesson of GW.

Listing characters others have on their accounts however is a big no no for various reasons. One is a simply discrimination factor, the other is privacy, third is once again complete irrelevance of information, then there's promoting of grind (I have 8 level 20 characters - yay, or something).

If you want to put together guild events, wouldn't it be better to have a party search function that works within a guild/alliance instead of a general area?

I lolled so much at this. If your trying to organise a guild event, all you do is post in guild chat explaining what your doing and what you need.

Idea 1 is flawed because you can change your secondary whenever you want. If your in a guild of 50 people and all those 50 people change their secondary within a minute, think of how much strain that would put on the server, especially when keeping track of individual class changes for every single player thats online and in a guild.

Idea 2 is flawed because some people have lots of character slots. I have 15 slots, all of which are full (4 PVE and rest PVP - these slots were bought before you could reroll pvp chars ingame lol). It would be seriously silly to see a list of 15 characters under my name on the guild menu.

If your organising a guild event, lets say GVG, all you need to do is say LF monk or whatever in guild chat. If anyone is interested they'll join.
